This painting is about patience. 

The bamboo seed may lay for up to 7 or 8 years in the soil before anything happens. If you lose patience, you might lose the whole tree that would have grown out of it. 

We can’t change the rhythm of nature, and we should understand that the seed needs many years of preparation so it can bear what is to grow out of it. 

Only nature can build something that stands tall with a height that is more than a hundred times its diameter at the ground level.
